How ready are you to make lifestyle changes to manage your weight?

It may seem a strange question, but it's one worth asking before you start.

First , check if you need to lose weight?. If you are overweight, then it's time to think about taking control. Let's focus on why you want to lose weight.

It might be to:
  1. Look good
  2. Feel better
  3. Live longer

Whatever your reason(s) , making lifestyle changes can be hard: we are surrounded by tempting, tasty food; convenience foods abound, and portion sizes are getting bigger. It's all too easy to overeat. We also lead less active lives - sitting in front of the computer or TV for hours - and use the car more often. All this has contributed to the rise in overweight and obesity around the world.

If you want to control your weight you need a plan to work through any potential pitfalls. That's why being clear about why you want to lose weight is important.
